All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ********************************************************** FROM EL DORADO TIMES, UNION COUNTY, ARKANSAS, MONDAY, JULY 9, 1984 KNOX CITY (RNS) - Anna Belle Snelson, 84, of Knox City died at 5:15 p.m. Sunday in Knox County Hospital after a brief illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Foursquare Gospel Church. The Rev. Gene Prevo of the Guthrie Baptist Church will officiate,assisted by the Rev. Dave Stone of Foursquare Gospel Church of Knox City and Sister Bailey of Knox City. Burial will be at the Knox City Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. Born July 24, 1899, in Rocky Mount, Ark., her parents were the late W.R. and Elnora Whitten. She married Ben I. Snelson on Nov. 26, 1921,in Arkansas. She was a homemaker, and she was a charter member of the Foursquare Gospel Church. Survivors include her husband of Knox City; two daughters, Barbara Jones and Bonnie Tankersly, both of Knox City; a brother, Ellis Whitten of El Dorado, Ark.; four grandchildren; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Joe Marion, Kenneth Burt, T.W. Barton, Leon Watson, Jerry Curd, and W. Skiles. Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Wilhite, Carl Chafin, H.L.McNulty and Bennet McNulty.
