HUNTSVILLE – 

McKelvey Griffin Axley, 81, of Huntsville died Jan. 29, 1998,
at the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born May 11, 1916, at
Graham, Texas, to Henry and Golda Axley. He was a Navy veteran of World War
II, a retired dispatcher and a Baptist. Survivors include his wife,
Margaret Doud Axley of the home; one stepdaughter, Carroll Lott of Eureka
Springs; one stepgrandson, Lewis Lott of San Antonio, Texas. Cremation was
under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville. Memorials may
be made to the Clifty Cemetery Association.
