Fayetteville - Vernon Burton, 88, of Fayetteville died Nov 18, 2008, at his
home. Born May 6, 1920, in Fayetteville to William W and Nettie Siothia Bohannon
Burton.

Retired from Veterans Affairs Medical Center in 1969 after 28 years as dietician
and chief cook. Army veteran of Korean War, member of Good Shepherd Lutheran
Church in Fayetteville.

Survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services at 2pm Friday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, burial in Fairview
Memorial Gardens.
