FAYETTEVILLE – 

Arthur Wayne Burke, 51, of Fayetteville died Feb. 7, 1998,
at his home. He was born May 29, 1946, at Selma, Calif., to Arthur Fred and
Veda Coble Burke. He was a member of Buckner Baptist Church, and retired
from the U.S. Army Reserve as a sergeant first class after 28 years of
service.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Morse Burke of the home; his parents of
Huntsville; one son, Nathaniel Lane Burke of the home; two daughters,
Heather Lichelle Burke of the home and Shani Ford of Bentonville; one
brother, Johnny Burke of Prairie Grove; one sister, Judy Pitts of
Springdale; two grandsons.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Buckner Baptist Church with the Rev.
Larry Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Buckner Cemetery under the
direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel of Fayetteville.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Keith Cornett, Jim Astle, Jim Lyman, David Morse, Wendell
Kirk and Robert McCratic.
Honorary pallbearers are Chad Burke, Brad Dorsey, Nick Burke, Brian Burke,
Jim Dorsey, Justin Burke, Dwight Butler and Robert Pitts.
