Cearley, 84, of Siloam Springs died Jan. 31, 1998, at Quail Ridge Nursing Home in West Siloam Springs, Okla. He was born Jan. 27, 1914, in De Queen. He was a line technician for Pet Milk and was a cattleman. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs and was former deacon of Harvard Avenue Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Alene Landon Cearley, on Feb. 25, 1993. Survivors include one daughter, Anita Robards of Tulsa, Okla.; two sons, Charles Cearley of Siloam Springs and Lon Cearley of Monett, Mo.; one sister, Loray Cole of Mena; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Oak Hill Cemetery with Jerry Hopkins and Dr. Steve Abbott officiating. Arrangements are by Backstrom- Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
