Born Jan. 3 1918 at Elkins, the son of Mose and Callie Colcleasure, he was a member of the V.F.W. and the First Baptist Church. He served in World War II and lived in Kansas City until 1948, when he moved to Oklahoma. He worked for the former Blackwell Zinc Smelter Plant for 25 years and for Electron Corp. for eight years. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Marie Colcleasure, of the home; a son, Joel of Texas; a daughter, Miss Kay of Mesquite, TX; a foster daughter, Miss Lillie Harless of the home; a brother, Gus Colcleasure of Excelsior Springs, MO; a sister, Mrs. John Moss of Independence, MO and two grandchildren. Funeral was held March 26 in Blackwell, under direction of Hamilton-Porter Funeral home there.
