All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Morning News of Northwest Arkansas February 6, 1998 ELKINS – George Easley, 73, of Elkins died Feb. 5, 1998, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Feb. 12, 1924, in Crosses to Howell Douglas and Louisa Calhoun Easley. He was a farmer and a retired mail carrier. He was a bus driver for the Elkins school system for many years and was a member of the Elkins Church of Christ, where he served as elder. Survivors include his wife, Arlie Sisemore Easley, to whom he was married 54 years; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sandra Easley of Siloam Springs, Carolyn Tuck and Jerry of Fayetteville and Janet Johnson and James of Elkins; one brother, Silvanus Easley of Chelan, Wash.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Elkins Church of Christ with Lacy Randall officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel of Fayetteville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Moore's. Memorials may be made to Southern Christian Home, P.O. Box 556, Morrilton, 72110-0556. Pallbearers will be Mike Johnson, Jason Tuck, Clinton Tuck, Warren Skelton, Mart Tate, Lionel Elder, Zachary Partain. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Paschal, Eddie Whorton, Charles Easley, Kennith Harriman, Jim Martin, Leland Couch and Clarence Easley.
