PURDY, Mo. – 

Clara Edith Garrison, 87, of Purdy died Feb. 4, 1998, at
Holland West Nursing Center in Springdale. She was born Jan. 31, 1911, in
Stone County, Mo. She was a lifetime resident of the area, worked as a home
companion for several years and was a Protestant. She enjoyed quilting and
gardening. She was preceded in death by one son; one daughter; one
grandson; two brothers; one sister.
Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Dewey Garrison and
Colleen of Wichita, Kan., David Garrison of Independence, Mo., Doyle
Garrison and Jean of Blue Springs, Mo., and Donnie Garrison and Coral of
Farmingdale, Maine; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Dolly Bunch and
Carol of Berryville, Daisy Faye Napier and Olin of Mansfield, Mo., and Dora
Steverson of Cassville, Mo.; two sisters, Estelle Clifton and Lula Denny,
both of Purdy; 22 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Williamson Funeral Home of Cassville
with pastor Doyle Russell officiating. Burial will be in Arnhart Cemetery
at Purdy.
Pallbearers will be John Bunch, Russell Bunch, Stanley Bunch, Phil
Garrison, Seth Garrison, Sidney Garrison, Todd Garrison, Scott Moore, Steve
Moore, Clarence Napier and Danny Russell. Honorary pallbearers will be
Debbie Beeson, Sandra Bruns, Peggy Harp, Zandra Mangrum, Karilyn Moeller,
Connie Sue Pauge, Brenda Russell, Cathy Shepard, Melissa Steverson, Jodi
Ward, Cindy Neski and Pam May.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of service.
