All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Morning News of Northwest Arkansas February 4, 1998 SCOTT – Jack Kilby, 71, of Scott died Feb. 1, 1998, at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born Aug. 29, 1929, in near Sulphur Springs to Hollis Henry and Mabel Arvella Craig Kilby. He was a former resident of Noel, Mo., and of Rogers. He was an industrial contractor and owned and operated Kilby Mechanical Contractors in Little Rock until his retirement in 1980. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater and was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by four brothers; one sister; one stepgranddaughter. Survivors include his wife, Faye Kilby of the home; two stepsons, Mike Hand of Little Rock and Steve Hand of Lake Charles, La.; three brothers, Larry Kilby of Pineville, Mo., Bob Kilby of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., and Richard P. Kilby of Chula Vistas, Calif.; one sister, Mary Lou Littleton of Gholson, Texas; two stepgrandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Little Rock under the direction of Roller-Drummond Funeral Home in Little Rock.
