The death of this good woman was a source of deep grief to the community, and the sad event has left an impression of sorrow upon the bereaved family that many bright days must come and go ere its bitter pangs are dispelled. The deceased was born and raised in Washington County, was married to Wm.A. Maguire on Oct 8, 1883, to whom was born three children, all of them living, the youngest being an infant son unconscious of his great loss. in the meridian of her useful life,- an example for her little children,-she was called away by a summons from the Master whom she was serving to live in a highter and holier sphere. The deceased was a member of the Methodist church, and her last days of afflection and suffering were endured with christian fortitude. One of the links of the household chain has been broken, there is a void in the heart which cannot be filled; yet we would not think earth her only abiding place. She was born for a higher destiny. It's only when the heart looks out beyond the roll of years and the fading of earthly beauty that we can be reconciled to say, "Thy will be done" to the father and dear little chldren. How joyful is the thought that lingers When our loved ones cross death's sea, That when out labors here are ended, With them, we shall ever be. N. M.
