All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Morning News of Northwest Arkansas February 6, 1998 FAYETTEVILLE – Charles Ernest Palmer, 64, of Fayetteville died Feb. 4, 1998, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Oct. 10, 1933, in Pulaski, Ill., to Ernest and Mary Hooker Palmer. He was a heavy-equipment operator for Miller Construction Co. and had lived in the area 3 1/2 years, moving from Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by one brother; one granddaughter. Survivors include his wife, Myra Dalquist Palmer of the home, to whom he was married July 6, 1980; three sons, John Palmer of Ward, Charles Palmer Jr. of Menahga, Minn., and Darwin Feldt of Wolf Lake, Minn.; seven daughters, Diana Cooley of Jacksonville, Cindy Palmer of Fayetteville, Kathy Pearson of Pensacola, Fla., Georgia Williams of South Bend, Ind., Bonnie Humphrey of Harrison, Karlene Roche of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Kristene Hieberg of Bemidji, Minn.; five brothers, Billy Palmer of Kaufman, Texas, Barry Palmer of Dongola, Ill., Jerry Palmer of Anna, Ill., Stanley Palmer of Jonesboro, Ill., and Bobby Palmer of Texas City, Texas; two sisters, Mildred Ann Griffith of Cypress, Ill., and Norma Louise Palmer of Niles, Mich.; 20 grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sisco Chapel of Springdale with Chaplain Rodney Weeks officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
