All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Morning News of Northwest Arkansas February 6, 1998 SPRINGDALE – Floyd Pruitt, 86, of Springdale died Feb. 6, 1998, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born Dec. 11, 1911, at Lost Corner to Fate and Sula Moncrief Pruitt. He was a retired, self-employed carpenter, a former member of the Arizona Carpenters Union, a member of Brush Creek Baptist Church and a former deacon of Elmdale Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one son; one brother; one sister. Survivors include his wife, Lucille Williams Pruitt of the home, to whom he was married Nov. 12, 1932; two sons and daughters-in-law, James Kenneth Pruitt and Gladys of Clovis, N.M., and Bob Pruitt and Pat of Springdale; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sula Macedo and Mac of Bristol, R.I., and Wilma Haese and Jack of Reston, Va.; three brothers, Cecil Pruitt of Birmingham, Ala., Everett Pruitt of Phoenix, Ariz., and the Rev. Wesley Pruitt of St. Charles; one sister, Iva Wharton of Vilonia; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Sisco Chapel of Springdale with the Rev. Larry Crutcher and the Rev. Wesley Pruitt officiating, and a eulogy by Wilma Haese. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens at Fayetteville. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Jeff Boyd, Eddy Ragle, Chris Boyd, Rob Pruitt, Mike Acuff and Travis Kelly.
