Ramsay, 73, of Springdale died Feb. 6, 1998, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born Feb. 20, 1924, in Conway to Charles Edgar and Robbie Maddox Ramsay. He moved to the area from Forrest City after serving 40 years as minister to Methodist churches in the Little Rock and North Arkansas Conferences. He was district superintendent of the Batesville, Jonesboro and Forrest City districts. Survivors include his wife, Melba A. Ramsay of the home, to whom he was married Sept. 1, 1946; four daughters, Janet Nickell of Tucson, Ariz., Ruth Sharp of Westampton, N.J., Mary Teed of Newport and Martha Ramsay of Springdale; one brother, William R. Ramsay of Carmel, Calif.; five grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Orr, the Rev. Danny Rogers, Dr. Clinton Burleson and the Rev. Robert Scott officiating. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. in Bluff Cemetery prior to the service. Arrangements are by Sisco Chapel of Springdale. Honorary pallbearers will be clergy and families of the United Methodist Church of Arkansas. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Springdale, P.O.
