Roy Russell Rogers Sr., 78, of Stilwell died Feb. 4, 1998, at his home. He was born June 30, 1919, in Denver, Colo., to Arthur and Vinita Stillions Rogers. He was an Army veteran of World War II and minister of Stilwell Full Gospel Church. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Duke Rogers of the home, to whom he was married Oct. 21, 1983; five sons, Roy Rogers Jr., Dick Rogers and Bill Rogers, all Bentonville, Tommy Rogers of Rogers, Bill Rogers of Bentonville and Gwen Hyslip of Stilwell; one daughter, Nancy Coberly of Rogers; four brothers, Ed, Bob, Carroll and Jim Rogers, all of Seneca, Mo.; one sister, Maxine Scott of Seneca; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at World of Life Fellowship in Bentonville with the Rev. Harry Cole officiating. Burial will be in Tracy Cemetery at Anderson, Mo., under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
