Stamps, 56, of Route 6, was dead on arrival at a local hospital Monday. Born March 16, 1916 in Osage, the son of Sam P. and Sarah Thomas Stamps, he was a carpenter and a Baptist. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Frances Bookout Stamps of the home; one son Johnny of Oklahoma City, Okla.; the mother, of Springdale; three brothers, Foster of Ventura, and Owen and Fred of Springdale; four sisters, Mrs. Hazel Brown of Stockton, Calif., Mrs. Cleo Neff of Woodlake, Calif., Mrs. Lois Williams of Fayetteville, and Mrs. Pansy Nichols of Houston, Texas; and three grandchildren. Stamps, 58, of Rt. 6, Springdale were held today at 2 p.m. in Sisco Chapel with the Rev. Richard Lewis officiating. Burial was in Stuckey Cemetery, Johnson, under the direction of Sisco.
