All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************** Morning News of Northwest Arkansas February 4, 1998 SPRINGDALE – Lola Marie Thompson, 76, of Springdale died Feb. 2, 1998, at St. Luke Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. She was born March 9, 1921, in Lipscomb County, Texas, to Fred and Eva Hill Hardage. She was a retired department- store clerk and a member of Robinson Avenue Church of Christ and the Northwest Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary where she worked in the gift shop. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Victor Thompson; one brother; one sister. Survivors include three sons, Ken and Rodney Thompson, both of Amarillo, Texas, and James Thompson of Springdale; one daughter, Vicki Bishop of High Ridge, Mo.; two brothers, Rex Hardage of Claremore, Okla., and Ronnie Hardage of Tulsa, Okla.; four sisters, Mary Ellen Choats of Fort Smith, Verna May Hutchens of Springdale, June Wheeler of Miami, Texas, and Virginia Frazier of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren; three great- grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sisco Chapel of Springdale with Dub DeLoach officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be John Dearman, Cecil Fletcher, Jay Hooten, Roy Howard, Charles Shumate and Charlie Watson. Honorary pallbearer will be Kenneth Doolin.
