FAYETTEVILLE – 

Ruth Swink Wages, 93, of Fayetteville died Jan. 30, 1998, at
the Fayetteville Nursing Center. She was born Sept. 11, 1904, in
Fayetteville to Robert F. and Lillian Emily Bell Swink. She was a retired
department manager for Hunt’s Department Store and a member of the First
Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edmond
Wages; one son; one grandson.
Survivors include two sons, James E. Wages of Mazomamie, Wis., and Harry O.
Wages of Fayetteville; two daughters, Emily R. Gann of Wichita, Kan., and
Loretta (Betsy) Graham of Springdale; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-
grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Evergreen Cemetery with
James D. Johnson officiating. Arrangements are by Moore’s Chapel of
Fayetteville.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the
family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
