Burrow October 8, 1924 - March 3, 2012 Heber Springs, Arkansas C.J. Burrow, 87, of Heber Springs, formerly of Bald Knob, died Saturday, March 3, 2012. He was born October 8, 1924 in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas a son of the late Dempsey and Kellie Jones Burrow. C.J. was raised during the depression and, through those hard times, learned to work hard and appreciate life. He had been employed as a farmer and a pipeliner, among many other trades. No matter the task at hand, C.J. believed in doing the job and doing it right. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing as long as health permitted. He is survived by his wife, Dacel Burrow of Judsonia; children, Dr. Corbet Lamkin (Verna) of Chidester and Barbara Burrow Nix (Danny) of Heber Springs; granddaughter, Carrie Crawford Utterback (Caleb) of Chapel Hill, Tennessee; brother, Dempsey Burrow of Lonoke; sister, Merle Peebles of Thayer, Missouri; step-children, Billy Dale Burrow (Cathy), Gerald Brown (Wanda) and J.R. Brown (Jeannie); his "Little Buddy", Logan; several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by a grandson, B.J. Crawford; brothers, Alfred Porter, Ed Burrow and Johnny Burrow. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-6 p.m. Services will be held on Monday, March 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery by Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
