LAWRENCE JENNINGS FULMER History of Arizona, page 496 L.J. Fulmer is one of Willicox's leading citizens and as publisher of the Arizona Range News is meeting with a large measure of business success. He was born in Walter Valley ,Mississippi on the 12th day of May 1893 and is a son of C.B. and Melissa J. (Jennings) Fulmer. His father was a moulder and machinist by trade and was highly respected in his community. Mr. Fulmer received his education in the public schools of his native town and in 1903 at the age of ten years, went to work as a "printer's devil" in the office of H.A. Lee at Water Valley. In 1917 he came to Wilcox Arizona and took up a homestead, to the improvement and cultivation of which he devoted his attention until 1920 when he entered the employ of the Arizona Range News and in 1926 he bought the Arizona Range News to the editing and publishing of which he has since devoted his attention. He prints the news, while it is news, in an attractive style, while editorially he is a persistent advocate of those things which contribute to the well-being of society and the material, civic and moral stability of the community. On August 25, 1912 Mr. .Fulmer was married to Bessie M. Brock, of Mt. Vernon Illinois.
