Old Naco Cemetery Cochise cO. aZ (near Naco, Arizona) This abandoned cemetery is on property belonging to the Cochise County Board of Supervisors. (parcel # 102-42-005) begins 850’ north of W. Purdy Lane and measures 918’ E to W & 475’ N to S and it borders the eastern edge of Wilson Rd. near a cattle guard. Overall, there are approx. 23 graves that are:- Unidentified / unmarked / illegible and / or marked w/ small wooden crosses. Total number of gravesites found: 32. There are very likely more graves and further research and documentation needs to be done as well as restoration and preservation. There appear to be at least three rows of graves with both marked and unmarked graves. This badly overgrown cemetery covers a significant area and has been reclaimed by packrats, ground squirrels, javelinas, rattlesnakes and scrub brush. DAVIDSON,Mrs. J. R.
