CAPTAIN CHRISTIE Arizona Republican Newspaper September 29, 1892 A drummer known as Captain Christie, who had been on a protracted spree in Tombstone, fell dead in a car on the NM&A road yesterday at Fairbank. He was in the employ of R. F. Johnson and Company at El Paso. Charles Granville Johnson held an inquest on the body. The verdict was that he came to his death from natural causes. The deceased was aged 56 years. His body was brought to Tombstone and will be shipped to El Paso. He had been drinking heavily for some days and complained of much pain. He was being taken home and had just been seated in the car and his attendant had gone out to bring him a pillow when he returned the man was dead.
