Rice Jones December 6, 1904 Arizona Republican Newspaper The funeral of J. Rice Jones of Bisbee who died at the Sisters Hospital on Saturday afternoon took place yesterday afternoon from the undertaking rooms of Easterling and Whitney and was well attended. Mr. Jones who had been a resident of Bisbee for several years came here a few weeks ago for treatment for an affection of the eyes. He was later stricken by paralysis. He was at one time a millionaire but he lost his fortune and came west. He engaged in gambling and accumulated about $20,000 which he invested in Bisbee real estate. He was highly regarded by those who knew him on account of his generosity and his honesty.
