MRS. STOWE Arizona Republican Newspaper December 15, 1898 Among the many sad deaths that we have been called upon to chronicle in the past, there is none that has brought more sorrow to a greater circle of intimate friends thatn has that of Mrs. Stowe which occurred on Saturday evening last. Mrs. Stowe was of a quiet and unassuming disposition and by her gentle ways had made hosts of friends and her summons to the land of eternal rest will be felt by many as a deep and personal loss. Mrs. Stowe has been a resident of Bisbee for over five years, living with her daughter, Edith, who is employed as a teacher in the public schools here. She was also a former resident of Tombstone in their palmy days and has many friends and acquiantances throughout the territory who will be pained to hear of her death. The funeral took place from the family residence under the auspices of the Daughters of Rebekah, of which lodge she was a member. She leaves a daughter and a son to mourn her loss, who have the sympathy of the entire community in the hour of their affiliction.
