Nestled in one of the most enchanting locations at an altitude of 7,000 feet it is noted for its grand and awe-inspiring sunsets and is properly named the "City of Gorgeous Sunset." Has Catholic and Methodist churches, a hotel, a bank, a hospital, 2 opera houses, electric light, water and sewer systems and one of the largest saw mills in Arizona. A new modern opera house is being constructed at a cost of $20,000. Plans are being drawn for a modern up-to-date $25,000 hotel to accommodate tourists. A scenic railway is being constructed which will eventually extend to the Verdi Valley a rich semi-tropical fruit and vegetable section. The construction of a large canning factory is contemplated to care for the products of this Valley. An automobile boulevard of easy grade to the summit of "Bill Williams" mountain having an altitude of 10,000 feet is contemplated. It is surrounded by 100,000 acres of as fertile arid land as is to be found in the West. Williams with its high altitude scenic location pure mountain air and water and surrounded by mountain chains all covered with fine forests is sure to become one of the most popular resorts in the West.
