FRANK J. CHAMBERLAND May 20, 1896 Globe: A Distressing accident happened at the Hoosier Mine last Friday afternoon resulting in the death of Frank W. Chamberland. John Aeno and the deceased were working in a slope on the upper level of the mine, below and to the right of the tunnel with whch it was connected by crosscuts. The men put in a heavy shot in the roof of the stope which they fired and after the smoke had cleared they re-entered the stope through the crosscut. A rock loosened by the shot fell behind him, falling on Chamberland and crushing the life out of him. Frank W. Chamberland was 38 years old , a native of Richmond, Virignia where his parents reside. He came to Arizona from Texas in company with J.H.
