KATHERINE J. FONTAINE AKA WILLIE w. BRADFORD Arizona silver belt June 10, 1897 Katheirne J. Fontaine, better known as Willie W. Bradford committed siucide sometime between midnight Saturday and Sunday morning last, of shoots through the heart in her room at the Sand Wash. The bullet from a 35 calibre revolver passed through the body and was found lodged under the skin on the back. After firing the fatal shot she had evidently leaped from the bed on which she sat to a lounge across the room and then plunged headlong to the floor and was found doubled up against the door frame. Death must have been almost instantaneous. The deed was not discovered unitl about 1 o'clock Sunday. The woman had led a precarious life and despondency prompted her to self destruction. She left a request to be given a Christian burial which was complied with. The deceased was an Austrian by birth and about 30 years of age.
