KATIE HATCH August 10, 1905 Az Silver Belt The body of little Katie Hatch was found on Friday seven miles from the camp where she was first missed. The child was lost on July 15 and the parents, assisted by the Indian police, trailers, friends and neighbors, have kept up a continuous search and their efforts were finally rewarded by finding the body of the beautiful little child. The form was nude and had been mutilated by animals. It was apparent that she had become demented by fright and in this state of mind had torn off all her clothing and thrown them away. The clothes were recovered by her father two miles from where the body was found. The little girl had crossed the White River, a feat which those in search thought impossible for her to accomplish, as the river was high and the current swift and dangerous.
