Silas J. Johnson was killed at the Old Dominion smelter 
in Globe, last Tuesday by being accidentally pinned against 
a timber by a break in the machinery moving the ore buckets.  
He was about 30 years old, leaves a wife and baby, and it is 
said, was for several years a resident of the Salt River 
Valley.
