Arizona Silver Belt, Aug 19, 1943, Page 1 CAVE-IN KILLS GLOBE MINER Funeral services for Hugh D. Love, 43-year old miner killed in a cave-in at his mine Sunday afternoon, have been tentatively set for Saturday morning at 10 o'clock from the chapel of the Miles Mortuary. Mr. Love met death at his mine near the Gibson mine, west of here, when the wall of the mine, apparently weakened by recent rains, caved in and caught him under the slide. He died instantly. His small daughter witnessed the accident. Born in Cedar Hill, N.M., Sept. 24, 1900, he came to Globe six years ago and had been employed at the Miami Copper Company. Surviving are the wife, Laura; three daughters, Bernice, Patricia and Wanda; a brother, Walter J. Love, Downey, Calif; a brother, Harry Love, of Utah; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Nelson, Bayfield, Colorado, and Mrs. Sullivan of Homedale, Idaho.
