Roderick McIntosh Arizona Silver Belt June 18, 1896 Sheriff J.H. Thompson returned Tuesday after a long and unsuccesful chase after William Gill, who killed Roderick McIntosh December 1, 1895 and escaped from custody March 18, 1896. Mr. Thompson went as far as Mazatlan on the west coast of Mexico, where he abandoned pursuit. He believes he was on a hot trail and would have captured his man if the proper assistance had been rendered by the Mexican officials.
