Joseph Ninnis May 28, 1892 Arizona Silver Belt Philip Oates received a telegram Saturday last from his daughter, Annie Ninnis, dated May 20th containing the deplorable announcement of the death of her husband Professor Joseph Ninnis. The body will be taken to San Antonio, Texas for internment. Mrs. Ninnis will be met at San Antonio by her mother, Mrs. Oates who left on the 22nd. Professor Ninnis was a mining engineer and metallurgist and had for several years been in charge of a large mine at Romero Rubio. He was formerly in the employ of Phelps, Dodge and located at Riverside. At the time of his death an offer to enter the employ of the Commercial Mining Co. was being considered.
