A.J. SPENCER October 30, 1902 Arizona Republican Newspaper A letter received at this office from Judge Luther Kaltenbach of Gila Bend, describes the sudden death of A.J. Spencer, an old resident of that place. Mr. Spencer had gone in the company of a man from Los Angeles to look at the Volcano mine. On their return to the Gila River, Mr. Spencer was taken suddenly sick and died. Mr. Spencer had lived in theis county for several years and at one time resided in Phoenix. He was highly respected by all who knew him. He was seventy nine years of age and leaves an aged wife, many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The funeral took place at Gila Bend yesterday.
