FREDDIE GROSSBECK Oct 26, 1896 Greenlee, Co. Az Solomonville: Last Friday evening a fatal accident occurred at the ranch of C.V. White, by which Freddie Grossbeck, the eldest son of Mrs. White lost his life. Freddie and his younger brother were sent out for some kindling wood, but instead of going to the woodpile they went to an old shed which was covered with no less than a ton of dirt and Freddie commenced cutting the center post which seemed to be the mainstay of the shed. When he had it almost cut off the younger brother saw the shed commence to fall and ran from under it just in time to save his life. A moment later it came down with a crash, catching the elder boy beneath its weight. The boy who had escaped ran to the house and gave the alarm. Assistance arrived in a very feww minutes and the debris removed and there beneath lay the crushed form of the unfortunate boy. His neck was broken, his chest crushed and one arm and both legs were broken.
