NOAH PARKS October 28, 1896 Az Republican Newspaper A farmer named Noah Parks, living on Colonel Christy's Ranch, northeast of the city was yesterday examined by Probate Judge Crouse on the charge of insanity. Mr. Parks has been a resident of the valley for eleven years. Several months ago he disposed of his proprety here and went to California. While there he met with business reverses and selling what little property he had left at a sacrifice he returned to this valley and invested in another ranch, only to find that he had been cheated. He began to brood over his misfortunes to the extent that his mind at times was unbalanced. He frequently complained of pains in his head and during these spells threatened to commit suicide. To the probate judge and examining physicians he talked rationally of his troubles, but said that when his fits of melancholia possessed him he was afraid he would end his troubles by killing himself. The probate judge ordered his commitment to the asylum.
