He was the 6th child of 10. He married Matilda Stewart, on Sept 21 1875, in Mountain Ontario, Canada. She was the daughter of William Stewart and Charlotte Workman, born Apr 9th 1858, at Kempville, Ontario Canada. They had 5 daughters, Margaret, Florence, Emma, Gertrude and Beatrice, all born in Canada. In 1888, the family moved to Phoenix Arizona, where other family members were already living. Sometime between 1888, and 1891, George became the owner of the Phoenix Iron Works. George died on July 17 1919, and his will states that he was a foundry owner at the time of his death. His wife Matilda was left everything. She passed away on Oct 20 1933. Both are buried in the Greenwood Cemetary.
