Arizona Republic; 2 March 1978
William H. James, 60, a native of Chandler who served in the Marine Corps in 
World War II and was with the Internal Revenue Service 36 years, died Feb. 28, 
1978 in his home.

Mr. James, 143 W. Pierson, was a member of the Church of St. Francis Xavier and 
the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine; children, Patti McFarland, Peggy Hogan, 
Brian, Dan and Dick; two grandchildren; a sister and a brother.

Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Brophy Chapel, 4701 N. Central.  Friends may 
call from 5 to 7 p.m. today in Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 330 N. Second Ave.
