WARREN G. DAMON History of Arizona, page 523 Among the progressive and wida-awake business men of Kingman stands Warren G. Damon, who for more than a decade has been one of the owners of the Mohave Printing and Publishing Company, publisher of the Mohave County Miner. He was born in York, Nebraska on the 17th ay of July 1888 and is a son of James H. and Theresa (Warren) Damon. His father was a mining man. Mr. Damon received his educational training in the public schools of Tacoma, Washington, graduating from the Stadium High School in 1908. He engaged in newspaper work, in which he was employed on Tacoma and Seattle papers and in 1910 became a departmental head. In the following year he went to Canada and engaged in the wholesale magazine business. In 1914 he went to California. After working on various papers in that state, in 1917 he became the proprietor of the Anaheim Daily Herald at Anaheim and in the following year came to Kingman. Subsequently he became associated with Anson Smith in the publication of the Mohave County Miner, under the name of the Mohave Printing and Publishing Company and they have so conducted this paper that it has steadily grown in public favor. On June 23, 1929 Mr. Damon married Frances C. Barnes of Kingman.
