Wernette 10/4/2014 Wernette, Ruth Elaine (Kelly) WERNETTE, RUTH ELAINE December 30, 1925 to December 21, 2008 Ruth Elaine Wernette, 82, passed away on December 21, 2008 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born on December 30, 1925 in Flint, Michigan to Frank L. Kelly and Stella (Thiese) Kelly. Ruth spent her first 50 years in Flint and Davison Michigan where she was a graduate of Flint Northern High School. For the past 30 years she has lived in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 59 ½ years, George J. Wernette, son Kelly D. Wernette (Kathy) of Jackson, Mi., grand children Shawn Wernette and Laura (Wernette) Warren of Jackson, Mi. , sister Dorothy Kelly of Flint, Mi., brother Frank Kelly of Flushing, Mi. Ruth was preceded in Death by 3 brothers James Kelly of Flint, Mi., Donald Kelly of Waterford, Mi., and Earl Kelly of Kettering, Oh., and sister Margarethe Kelly of Tarzana, California. A memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Ashibuogwu officiating. Additional Comments: Additional information - by Kelly Wernette: Ruth Wernette was youngest child of Frank and Stella Kelly of 2526 Lawndale, Flint, Michigan. Ruth married George J. Wernette and the couple lived at 2102 Kent Drive, Davison Michigan before moving to Lake Havasu Arizona around 1978. George Wernette was her second marriage. Ruth had married James O. Diamond in 1946 and the union produced one son, Kelly Diamond, in August of 1947. Ruth only produced one child and had a history of cancer and ill health. Her health problems led her and husband George to move to the arid climate of Arizona.
