Taylor, manager of the Commercial Hotel in Holbrook, was a valuable acquisition to Holbrook for he has shown a constant and effective interest in the community welfare, which he has endeavored to promote in every possible way. He was born at Osage, Iowa, on the 20th day of Sept. 1901 and is a son of T.E. and Nellie M. (Huie) Taylor, the former of whom is now retired from active business pursuits and he and his wife are living in Holbrook. In that same year he came to Arizona and for a couple of years was identified with the oil industry. In 1926 he turned his attention to the hotel business, becoming manager of the Commercial Hotel at Holbrook which he has run in a manner that has made it extremely popular with the traveling public and with those who seek an ideal summer climate. On Jan. 6, 1926 Mr. Taylor was united in marriage to Edith T. Towrie, of Jamaica, Long Island, New York and they have a son, Richard Lloyd, now two years of age. Mr. Taylor has taken a deep interest in this section of the country and is interested in its past history, being a successful collector of Indian and relics of which he has a splendid collection. Fishing is his favorite outdoor sport and he is popular through the range of his acquaintance due to his genial and unassuming manner, his efforts to make his hotel a real home to all who patronize it and his many estimable personal qualities.
