MRS. SARAH HOWARD BABOCK November 27, 1897 Mrs Sarah Howard Babcock, aged 66 years died at an early hour this morning under very odd circumstances. About a month ago she was affected with a felon on her finger. Since that time she has been at various times confined to her bed. Last week while in this condition a man to whom she owed a small sum of money came and demanded it of her at once or he would commence action against her. The threat so frightened her that she left her sick bed and in the rain proceeded to a friend's house to get the money. From that time she was worse and the body commenced to bloat. A physician was summoned and could not locate the trouble. Another physician who was summoned called it sciatic rheumatism. This morning the swelling suddenly left and also the pain and it was thought she was getting better when she gave a short gasp and died at 6 o'clock. Deceased is survived by a husband, C.E. Babcock.
