MRS. NANCY CURTIS Arizona Republican Newspaper July 1903 Mrs. Nancy J. Curtis, aged 85 years died in Tucson Tuesday morning after several months illness. Mrs. Curtis was well known in this city, having resided here for years, conducting a millinery store. She was familiarly known to nearly everyone in town as Grandma Curtis and was of the best old ladies that ever lived in any country, being a hard worker, kind and charitable and sincerely and deeply religious. Her husband, Grandpa Curtis was a veteran of the Black Hawk War and died in Tucson about five years ago, shortly after moving there from Phoenix.
