OSSA DOYLE March 19, 1897 The Tucson Citizen of yesterday reports a most distressing event that happened Wednesday at the residence of Deputy Sheriff Doyle resulting in the death of his little daughter Ossa. The child was but 3 years old and while playing with an older brother secured several matches which becoming ignited set fire to her clothes. At the time of the event the children were playing in a toilet closet and the door accidentally shut and they could not be reached until the door was broken open. Mr. Doyle had gone to the country to serve a summons and Mrs. Doyle accompanied him. Dr. Purcell was called but offered little hope. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle have the sincere sympathy of their numerous friends.
