Sam Finley Arizona Republican Newspaper September 7, 1895 Mrs. Sam Finley of Nogales, left that place, by stage yesterday morning for this city to visit friends and relatives. Her baby boy Sam was with her, and was at the time of starting in the best of health. On the way, however, the little fellow sickened of what appeared to be a fever and died in her arms. The frantic and distressed mother was helpless and could do nothing to help her suffering baby and when its little life went out she still nursed its inanimate clay. Efforts were at once made to reach the father, but he had gone on business to Oro Blanco and could with difficulty be communicated. He is however expected tonight. The funeral will take place tomorrow. Sympathy is everywhere expressed for the distressed mother who is prostrated with grief.
