JACK HARRIS Arizona Republican Newspaper October 15, 1895 Tucson: Word comes from San Francisco that Jack Harris, a son of Detective Len Harris, who was killed at Boulder Creek by a highwayman, about a year ago, was shot and mortally wounded by a man named Callender. The two men were said to be bosom friends and were in the note shaving business together. Harris, it appears, was jealous of his wife. He had been home and not seeing her there took his pistol and started to find her. She was on her way home when Callender overtook her and they walked along together. Shortly afterwards, they met the husband who at once commenced shooting. In this enterprise he was soon joined by Callender with above results. Young Harris was well known here where he visited repeaedly during the life of his father. At last accounts he was failing rapidly. Callender and Mrs. Harris are both in jail.
