HORACE JONES November 21, 1898 Miss Sarah C. Shields, the great grand niece of Horace Jones, the eccentric miner who died in his cabin near Harshaw last week, arrived in the city Friday from her home in Indianapolis. Yesterday her attorney Charles Bowman, secured an order from the probate court appointing James Finlay executor of the estate of the deceased without bonds and granting him special letters of administration. Under his authority Mr. Finlay left for Harshaw to sell the perishable property of the deceased. The total value of the estate is estimated to be about $2500.
