WILLIAM H. LUCAS August 20, 1897 William H. Lucas, better known as "Billy" Lucas died in the hopsital this morning from cancer of the stomach. He was a Welshman by birth having been born in Crick Howell, Wales. His father is said to have been an eminent physican of that place and to whose memory the public erected a monument. Bily came to Tucson in the 80's and from that time to the day of his death has held numerous positions of confidence and trust. He served for several years as deputy under Sheriff R.H. Paul.
