W.E. GUILD Oct 27, 1893 A telegram was received here yesterday announcing the death at Florence night before last of W.E. Gulid. The deceased had been ill of typhoid fever for about two weeks and in the latter part of last week was thought to be convalescing. A relapse occurred last Saturday and hope of his recovery was abandoned. The deceased was not far from fifty years of age and had resided in the territory nearly a quarter of a century. He leaves a wife and two children. At the time of his death he was operator of the Florence Telegraph Line and was one of its chief owners. He was also agent for the Florence Stage Line and a trusted financial agent for a large number of poeple of Pinal County. He had been cashier of the Florence Bank and had held many other positions of trust and honor. He was also a mason of high standing and his funeral which will take place at 4 o'clock today will be under the direction of that order. Among those from Pheonix who will be present is Judge Joseph H. Kibbey, for years a warm friend of the deceased.
