WILLIAM EMMETT Arizona Republican Newspaper December 26, 1903 William Emmett, a brakeman on the road between Benson and Nogales, died at Nogales on Wednesday of injuries received in falling from the top of a car the day before. The accident happened about six miles north of Nogales. It was found that his skull had been fractured. It is a common saying among railroad men that accidents seldom happen to beginners in that dangerous vocation, the reason probably being that new men are more careful of themselves. This was Emmett's second run and it is said that he was without previous railroad experience.
