Richard Clawson, a famous jockey of New York, was 
taken to the Sisters Hospital yesterday from the 
Ford Hotel.  Clawson came here two weeks ago with 
a well developed case of lung trouble and has 
gradually grown worse. It is believed that his 
death is only a matter of a few days.  Clawson 
has been most prominent as a jockey in the W.C. 
Whitney string and has been acknowledged one of 
the three best American riders.
