The deceased was a member of the M.E. Church and the services at the house were conducted by the pastor of the church, Rev. J.V. Rollins. The choir of that church sang several hymns. The funeral was in charge of the Masonic Lodge of this place, Mr. Colhouer being a member of that order. The pall bearers were: Grant Jones, C.A. Stewart, T.J. Parry, Bert Wingar, Al Miller and Carl Hayden. Mr. Colhouer was 35 years of age, a native of Tennessee but recently of New York where he made his home for many years. At that place he was connected with Collier's Weekly, holding a position on the editorial staff for some time. At the time his health gave way he held a high position in the business office of the New York World. For the past six years he has been a sufferer of tuberculosis and the greater part of that time was spent in traveling at home and abroad in search of a climate that would help him. He came here last spring and when hot weather set in went to Colorado for the summer, returning here in the early fall. His decline has been constant since that time. He did not realize the seriousness of his condition and up to the very last was hopeful of his recovery and was making plans for the future. An invalid mother and his two sisters were with him at the last and they have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement.
